Mission Beach has gorgeous mangrove pockets where you can see:
· Baby fish learning how to fish
· Crabs raising families in muddy mansions
· Birds tiptoeing like they’re on a secret mission
They're basically the childcare centres of the ocean world.
Kids will love the “Squishy Mud Walk” — not in the mangroves themselves (we respect nature!), but nearby, where the mud is thick enough to make everyone giggle and pretend they’re walking through chocolate pudding.
Mangroves aren’t messy — they’re magnificent. Even if they smell a little… tropical.
